It has many other flavors:
Cannot delete file: Access is denied
There has been a sharing violation.
The source or destination file may be in use.

6. SandboxieDownload – trying new VSTi, software for you music producing? Isolate installation and prevent from viruses, or installation files spreads to Your computer.
Sandboxie runs your programs in an isolated space which prevents them from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your computer.
The red arrows indicate changes flowing from a running program into your computer. The box labeled Hard disk (no sandbox) shows changes by a program running normally. The box labeled Hard disk (with sandbox) shows changes by a program running under Sandboxie. The animation illustrates that Sandboxie is able to intercept the changes and isolate them within a sandbox, depicted as a yellow rectangle. It also illustrates that grouping the changes together makes it easy to delete all of them at once.
Benefits of the Isolated Sandbox

  • Secure Web Browsing: Running your Web browser under the protection of Sandboxie means that all malicious software downloaded by the browser is trapped in the sandbox and can be discarded trivially.
  • Enhanced Privacy: Browsing history, cookies, and cached temporary files collected while Web browsing stay in the sandbox and don’t leak into Windows.
  • Secure E-mail: Viruses and other malicious software that might be hiding in your email can’t break out of the sandbox and can’t infect your real system.
  • Windows Stays Lean: Prevent wear-and-tear in Windows by installing software into an isolated sandbox.

7. Executor ?

This is a multi purpose launcher and a more advanced and customizable version of windows run. The program originated as I was sick of spending too much time searching for programs through my ever growing windows start-menu, and also I missed a tool that could ease and optimize my daily work flow. There was of course already programs like this available, but each had it’s annoyance or missing features or too(!) geeky.

8. Camel Disc Catalog – where is that cd?

If you are music producer or maybe DJ like most any computer user these days you have lots of optical disks – MP3 collections, software, plug-ins and samples. They represent a small personal fortune and contain everything you need to keep your life going. Finding a disk in such a big collection is no easy task unless you have a good memory or a CD organizer like Camel Disc Catalog.
Camel Disc Catalog is a nice CD catalog software that generates a computer database to keep track and find any disk in a snap. Just insert the disk into your CD-ROM drive and scan it. The program will automatically index the structure of files and folders, record file names and create a disk snapshot. Once the disk is scanned, you add it to the database and assign to a particular category – ‘Video’, ‘Music’, ‘Photo’ or ‘Software’. You can then add additional comments to the snapshot, such as its location in the house or the name and contacts of your pal who you lend out your disk. When you need to find the disk, run Camel Disc Catalog, browse to the snapshot and see where you put it or who borrowed the disk. Not bad, huh?

9. XNote Stopwatch – control your time

XNote Stopwatch is a versatile and flexible multifunctional digital stopwatch/countdown timer software to measure time intervals in decimal seconds, seconds, minutes, and hours. Suitable for timekeepers at sport competitions, time tracking of work, or even as a metronome.

# Stopwatch mode and countdown timer mode: When the timer gets to zero, it can sound a warning signal, play an audio file, run an application, and even command external devices!

# Ability to capture the time of chronograph at any moment (split time feature). The interval from a previous recorded time and percentage weights are calculated (lap time feature). You may add a comment to each noted time. Finally, the whole list of results can be copied through the clipboard for further processing. It is even possible to record the time directly to MS Excel cell without awkward export/import operations!
